The Social Work Code of Ethics requires continuing education as part of lifelong professional development for social workers.

40 CE hours are required for each 24-month license renewal period for active status licenses.

CE providers and programs accepted are not required to be pre-approved by the Board but must meet all CE requirements in the Board's Practice Act.

Through the program, social work professionals can: Our in-person workshops provide participants with a rigorous array of timely and relevant interdisciplinary courses in social work that bear the UA stamp of excellence.

All courses are taught by social work faculty and workshop presenters who are national experts in their fields.

Social Workers are required to successfully complete 30 hours of CE in the first full biennium after they are licensed.

Four (4) of the required 30 credit hours must be in the area of ETHICS AND PROFESSIONAL BOUNDARIES related to the license holder's area of practice.
